Located on the northern edge of the Strip, the Stratospere Tower rises over 1,000 feet (330 meters) above the desert floor and is easily the most recognizable attraction in Las Vegas. This is one of the older casinos, but the hotel was completely renovated in 2005. It offers five restaurants including a revolving restaurant nearly 1,000 feet above the Strip. It also has a spa and several swimming pools including an adults-only topless pool. It features daily matinee performances of its old-time, family-oriented Las Vegas Variety Show. Accommodations are usually bargain priced due to its distance from the fashionable southern end of the Strip.
